Myrmidon

The great word I didn’t use

I like writing because, like my “real job” of translation, you get paid to study, research, and learn new things.

I don’t remember why, but the other day, I was searching around the web for a good way to say, “blind, unquestioning follower,” and I came across a wonderful word — myrmidon.

Now I really don’t know why this particular term strikes me as being so “wonderful,” except that it looks good, and it sounds good, too. So much more sophisticated and cooler than sheeple, don’t you think?
