Why are Americans so violent?

The Oscars are a gala staged each year to provide a venue where people, who believe they are more of everything, get to present awards to each other.

Chris Rock tells a joke about Will Smith’s wife.

Smith, who is OK with his wife sleeping with other men, slaps Rock to defend her honor. Rock rolled with the slap so well, it looked almost staged.

How Hollywood can reality get?

Some people are calling for Will Smith’s head. Others are saying that Rock deserved the smack because of the “violence” of his words.

In America these days, words, silence, and just about everything else are seen as violence. Everything is violence, except physical violence.

It’s like a really bad mashup of Robocop meets 1984.
